We the People!

Foxridge Community – We the People

Foxridge Community – We the People is an independent community space created to inform, connect, and empower residents of Foxridge in Orange Park.

This platform is dedicated to transparency, accurate information, and open participation.
Here, residents can stay informed about neighborhood matters, share concerns, and contribute ideas that help shape the future of our community.

Participation is always voluntary.

Why This Website Was Created

This website was born out of the need for clear communication and genuine community involvement.

For years, many residents felt uninformed or excluded from decisions affecting Foxridge. After experiencing firsthand how difficult it was to obtain transparency and consistent updates, this space was created to ensure that information is accessible and that every resident has a voice, regardless of membership status or financial contribution.

The purpose is simple:

  • provide reliable and documented information

  • encourage open participation

  • help residents understand what is happening in the neighborhood

So everyone can make informed choices about the future of Foxridge.

Who We Are

We are residents of Foxridge in Orange Park who believe that the neighborhood deserves transparency, fairness, and accountability.

According to the original 1986 Foxridge By-Laws:

  • every household living in Foxridge is automatically a member of the association

  • membership is based on residency, not payment

  • the association was created “for the common good and general welfare of the people of Foxridge”

Over the years, many residents have observed decisions and spending that no longer reflect the needs or voices of the entire community.

Meetings are often poorly advertised, participation is limited, and decisions are made by a small group that does not represent all households.

This space was created to reconnect Foxridge with its original spirit:

  • a community where every resident matters

  • transparency as a standard, not an exception

  • accountability to all residents

  • open participation without pressure or control

Why Was This Group Created If a Neighborhood Association Already Exists?

Because the current neighborhood association does not represent all 699 households in Foxridge.

Many residents feel unheard, unrepresented, or pressured to accept decisions made by a very small group. This space exists for residents who want a different approach—one based on openness, transparency, and equal participation.

A space where:

  • every resident can speak freely

  • no one is censored or dismissed

  • decisions are not made behind closed doors

  • participation is voluntary and not tied to fees or “membership status”

  • leadership does not concentrate power in the hands of a few

This group does not seek to replace anything.

It exists to balance, to offer an alternative, and to ensure that residents who do not want a controlling structure still have a place to gather, communicate, and stay informed.

Our Vision

We are not here to divide the community.

We are here to restore trust, openness, and inclusion.

We believe in a Foxridge where:

  • information is shared openly

  • decisions are discussed, not imposed

  • participation is encouraged, not coerced

  • every household has a voice

This is a space for residents who want to stay informed, involved, and connected on their own terms.
